Teaching Institute Grants

  1. Read relevant study material (supplied or recommended by CTE)
  2. Meet weekly during the period to explore the specific theme as it relates to their discipline.
  3. Develop a significant teaching improvement project that relates to the theme and implement it the following semester or prepare recommendations.
  4. Develop a research project and implement a research study to assess the benefits of the improvements.
  5. Collaborate with other Institute participants on developing the teaching project.
  6. Share the results of their project with the rest of the campus community at the next Talking About Teaching Conference.

All full-time and part-time UMD faculty (anyone who teaches at least two courses per academic year) and academic staff who are involved in program development and teach at least one course are welcome to apply.
